Ink Is My Blood - Lilith Likes to Watch

Title: Ink Is My Blood
Year:
2018
Starring: Moth, Rust
Director: Erika Lust
Synopsis: Inspired by the infamous erotic drawings by the mysterious Apollonia St Clair, Erika Lust directs this film of a real couple exploring artistry and eroticism. Apollonia's artworks are known for their fearless exploration of female desire, in a black and white, almost film-noir style that makes them completely unique. Lust delicately captures this in droplets of milk on Moth's breasts, or the eyes of Rust slowly rolling back in his head. Adult cinema becomes pure art in the XConfessions film Ink is My Blood. - via XConfessions.com

"To see deep into ourselves and reveal to us through ink and blood who it is we truly are."

Ah, the universal experience of a hangover. Probably you’ve experienced it before, dear reader, but the hangover of which I speak is not the one brought on by shotgunning beer after beer than chasing it with hard liquor. No, I am referring to a different kind of hangover.

There’s this term that recently came across my radar: Book Hangover. That feeling when you’ve read a book so enjoyable that you have to recover. I feel any medium is able to give the hangover effect, or at least, I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve endured a movie hangover, or series hangover.

May is over, and with it, Monster Lover May, which is a staple of Lilith Likes to Watch and a season that I love. After Monster Lover May, no matter how good or bad its actual offerings are, I usually have to decompress before I go back into the “real world” of adult films.

The remedy for a media hangover, the post-binge cure, as it were, is, I propose, a bridge film. Something that straddles the themes of the exceptional artwork, and where the consumer is going forward.

Lucky for us, we discovered Ink Is My Blood, a short 20 minute meditation on erotic art. A couple (played by real life couple Moth and Rust), fuck. Simple, right? Not so.

Before the fucking commences, the woman, Moth, peruses a lovely book of erotic illustrations produced by Apollonia St Clair, which inspires a great lust in her. She fantasizes about what she sees in the pages, from giant octopods to naughty nuns, until finally she lures her partner Rust into nailing her in various places around their home.

Once again, Erika Lust does not disappoint. This short scene is very hot. There’s very nearly something for everyone in here. There’s licking milk off a beautiful nude female body, there’s floor sex, various positions, and it’s all very tender and passionate. Loving even.

What sets this apart from other similar films however, is the inclusion of St. Clair’s art. Occasionally a frame of the lovers will pause, and be drawn over in St. Clair’s bold style, where the lovers are transformed into beasts of lore. Rust gets blown by a mermaid, Moth gets slammed by a satyr. So you see, we've discovered our bridge between Monster Lover May and whatever the future holds. And it’s all very yes.

If you want something artistic, slightly different and very soft with boundless chemistry between the two performers I absolutely recommend Ink In My Blood. It’s a sensual exploration of passion and erotica that is not at all to be missed.

Highlight: It was super hot, flowed well moment to moment, the costumes were great and it contained the tender fetish of fucking while reading smut together.

Lowlight: We didn't much care for Rust's beard but that's personal preference.

LILITH'S SCORE: 4.5/5

Until next time, my voracious voyeurs. I’m Lilith, and I’m always watching.
