Let’s make this all about me!

I have a novel coming out on March 31st, and it’s a mash-up of Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella. Therefor, in a fit of brand synergy, I decided now would be a great time to review Axel Braun’s Cinderella XXX. Because theming can be a true delight.

We all know the classic, centuries old tale of Cinderella, so I’m not going to waste everyone’s time with some sort of deep-dive.

The movie opens with Lord Termaine (played by Evan Stone) lamenting that his wife Lady Termaine (played by Veronica Avluv ) is toxic, but she seduces him to her bed and you can guess what happens next. It’s a pretty good scene. Lady Termaine sure is a screamer, and she scrabbles her hand all over her husband’s junk in wild and unpredictable ways. It’s the porny kind of porn but it’s not extremely obnoxious about it. There is a lot of squirt, if that’s your sort of thing. And if it is your sort of thing, you might wonder, How can she be so evil if she’s such a squirter? To that I propose that she aims to kill her husband with her squirt. And then she poisoned him.

When I’m right, I’m right.

Once the king is poisoned it cuts to black and we hear a goblet hitting a floor. They should have shown that. It’s cheesy but in this case I think it would have been effective.

We meet Ciderella (played by Samantha Saint), who is doing chores. Her step sisters enter (Played by Penny Pax and Carter Cruise). They fuck Cinderella, telling her that they aim to show her how to please a man. It’s not as, what’s a good word to use…? Cruel… as I expected. They don’t mock her, or make her to do anything against her will. They spank her with a utensil but everyone seems totally cool with it. They do get a little rough with a potato but it’s fine. I wanted more of an air of punishment, of bulliness, for the step sisters to be evil, and they weren’t.

When the sisters find out Cinderella is allowed to go to the ball, they offer up their dresses for her to borrow, then tear them up in front of her eyes while she cackles.

Gus (played by Tyler Knight), a servant, takes Cinderella to the Magic Fairy Godmother (played by Julia Ann) who does exactly what she’s supposed to, then the fairy and Gus fuck. It’s the least entertaining coupling in the film. It’s very flat, not inventive, and dull. It’s a creative pairing but the creativity stops there. The performers have no chemistry and very little energy.

Cinderella makes it to the ball, you know how it goes. She dances with the prince (played by Seth Gamble), loses her shoe, there’s a hunt for the woman who fits the shoe, her step sisters fuck the prince’s herald and smash the shoe, Cinderella reveals she has the other shoe and she fucks the prince.

While this isn’t stunning, I think it’s my favourite offering by Axel Braun yet. Most notably, the humour was kept to a minimum. In general, the casting was spot on. Seth Gamble, who I’m usually ambivalent toward, was a perfect prince. He has just enough suaveness to match up with any low-rent knock off Disney parody. The Wicked step mother chewed scenery and was clearly having a good time, and Penny Pax is always welcomed. Samantha Saint was a little wooden but when compared to some other of Braun’s leading ladies, she didn’t stand out as bad.

The costumes were fun, possibly the highlight of the production, though I wish Cinderella got to fuck in the blue ballgown. It’s on screen for a second, then it’s gone. I should take half a point off for that oversight.

Cinderella is a root of fairy tales. It is it’s own grandmother. Go back as far as you want and you will find a story of a poor girl who finds a magical way to her prince charming. Believe me, I did the research. As such, Cinderella XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, has stiff competition. As a Cinderella tale, it’s mid-range, but as an Axel Braun film, there’s a bit more magic here.

Best Moment: Penny Pax. She’s always a delight and she seems to be having fun dressing up and being a bitch.

Worst Moment:The Fairy Godmother/Gus sex scene. Cinderella should have had a threesome with them. Also she should have fucked in the blue dress.
