Bliss and Nylon Double Feature - Lilith Likes to Watch
Very rarely on Lilith Likes to Watch do I showcase a single performer. To my recollection I’ve only really done it once before with Owen Gray, though one could argue I’ve also done it for Angela White. Because, probably, a reviewer should do their best to remain relatively impartial and not play favourites.
Counterpoint: A girl should know what she likes.
Some years ago I watched, nay, slathered over the short horror porn Possession, starring Nat Portnoy. I can’t recall if it was my first exposure to her but it definitely cemented her in my memory. She was one to watch out for.
Portnoy is 80 percent charisma, 15 percent physical performance and 5 percent hair flips. She is a presence.
Since then my viewings of her films have been few but I’m always up for it, and happy when her work crosses my periphery.
So, this week, Kage and I decided to do a Nat Portnoy double feature, and bring to the attention of you, the fellow pornoisseur a pair of pretty Portnoy scenes.

Title: Bliss
Year: 2022
Starring: Nat Portnoy, Bishop Black
Director: Nat Portnoy
Synopsis: A short film by Nat Portnoy.
Lilith's Notes: Not only does Portnoy act, she also directs!
Buy: PinkLabel.tv
Bliss is a short, lean story of a nun (performed by Nat Portnoy) receiving pleasure from a man (performed by Bishop Black). That’s it. That’s the scene.
What I like about this short is that it very much focuses on female pleasure. The man is just sort of incidental, while the lens focuses mainly on Sister Nat’s ecstasy. And who can blame the camera for that?
The world need more of the female gaze.
Unfortunately, it’s short. Almost offensively so. I yearn for this to be a full length feature, or at least five times longer. Give me a tight, sinful, blasphemous twenty minutes.
But, it gives us the scene it wanted to give us and shows it exceptionally well. Heathen and heretics rejoice, for Bliss exists in the world and we are lucky to have it.
Best Moment: It revels in feminine pleasure.
Worst Moment: It's way too short.
LILITH'S SCORE: 5/5
Title: Nylon
Year: 2022
Starring: Nat Portnoy, Dakota Spotlight, Jamie Butine, Nichole Shae, Zina Berlin
Director: Nat Portnoy
Synopsis: “Nylon” is playing with the form, inviting you in, resembling an internal organ or a snail taken out of its shell, a sloppy shelter, a deflated niche where you can hide, grow, touch, and dream, far from the madding crowds but so close to each other.
“Nylon” is a fantasy of a secret sex life in a womb, of erotic exchange between microorganisms, where identity is relative and senses are everything.

Lilith's Notes: Artsy porn done right.

Nylon, though? Nylon works.
The worst thing about it? The description.
“resembling an internal organ or a snail taken out of its shell, a sloppy shelter”
That’s not what I see when I watch this. I see a bubble, a confined space of safety and self-expression. Nothing wet or wicked or slimy. It’s the epitome of Us Vs The World, of stealing a little space and time for pleasure. It’s almost quarantined and sanitized.
The visuals here are phenomenal. The entire film is nearly silent, subtle and dreamlike, with dapples and streams of sunlight caught in the weave of fabrics and contours of bodies. It’s intimate and cloistered, a cocoon of passion and pleasure.
Finally, less is more. Unlike Bliss, Nylon is exactly the length it needs to be to be taut and enjoyable. It doesn’t posture on and on, it revels in displays of its own beauty, becomes satisfied, and the warm, cozy, sexy experience is over.
Both Bliss and Nylon are admirable quickies that exist through captivating, honest performances and in service of the artistic side of adult film without off-putting pretense.
And of course, it helps that they both have a seductive siren at the centre.
Best Moment: Any moment when the nylon is extremely stretched.
Worst Moment: That description, man.
LILITH'S SCORE: 4.5/5
Until next time, my voracious voyeurs. I’m Lilith, and I’m always watching.
