Title: Objectify Me
Year:
2018
Starring: Jay Smooth, Tourma Selene
Director: Daniella Vale
Synopsis: If there is one thing she dislikes it's self-obsessed men. And even worse, self-obsessed, male artists who think they are a reincarnated Michelangelo. But there is something different about him and his nude paintings. His objectification of women is somehow complicated and suddenly she finds herself wondering what it would be like to be painted by him. What it would be like to be touched by him, to feel his eyes wandering up and down her naked body trying to capture the structure of her skin... - via XConfessions.com
Lilith's Notes: More XCon to get us through the month.

"Objectify me."

Sometimes, it’s really, really difficult to suspend disbelief when watching adult material. There is, of course, a finite pool of talent, and in that, an even smaller pool of performers who are willing to perform certain acts or storylines in front of a camera, or for a specific director or studio. Therefore, we get what we get and we don’t get upset.

This is also how we get a woman who complains that a man painting other naked women is objectification when said woman has hearts tattooed around her nipples.

Yeah, sorry, I’m kind of luke-warm on this.

A woman (played by Tourma Selene) attends an art show and thinks a beautiful painting of naked women is objectification. She realizes she’s complaining to the artist himself (played by Jay Smooth), she goes to his place to be “objectified” and they fuck.

Bored, the woman insists that it’s all objectification and crafted for the male gaze, without taking into account what or how the models thought and felt as they posed for the artist. It’s just naked women painted by a man, so it must be objectifying, right?

Says the woman with hearts tattooed around her nipples and a cavalcade of tattoos. One of which was Crow T. Robot from Mystery Science Theatre 3000. All that did for me was desire for Tourma Selene and Tommy Pistol to do a scene together so Crow and Tommy’s Master Shake tattoo could kiss.

Anyway, tangent over. The hot painter guy aimlessly covers her in paint and they fuck. It’s fine, it’s actually a pretty good performance. Her expression communicates that she’s enjoying herself and needed this profound release but Kage and I were just so thrown by the casting choices that it didn’t work for us. This is a role for a Penny Pax or someone equally as soft and unblemished.

The basis for comparison is skewed as well because we’ve watched The Nude Muse, which was also produced by XConfessions and does this basic premise of a painter and their muse much, much better and far more beautifully. If given the choice between the two, I would suggest The Nude Muse over Objectify Me.

Overall, we were just unable to immerse ourselves in the art before us. Much like the main character.

Best Moment:The cast is hot and I will seek out more of their work. There was aftercare but entirely too short of aftercare.

Worst Moment:There was no objectifying and arguably barely any body painting.

LILITH'S SCORE: 3/5

Until next time, my voracious voyeurs. I’m Lilith, and I’m always watching.
