"We Want to Hear You Sing"
Open communication is fun, sexy and healthy and I will hear no argument!
So, the Porn Conversation is a quick fifteen minute lesbian orgy, with the briefest of discussions about who does and does not consent to what acts. And they they all fuck.
I was expecting more, y’know, conversation. I was expecting some sort of round-table moment with all the performers discussing why they were in this line or work, or at least why they decided to film this orgy, their relationships with their bodies, the way they parse feminism and porn, things of that nature. Something more cerebral, analytical and nuanced.
Not that I’m complaining.
If you want a quick, boobie-filled orgy, then this film is for you. We have feminine bodies of varied shapes here, all being sucked and fucked and fingered, to everyone’s pleasure and entertainment.
And really that’s all there is to this. But what is presented is work of quality.
The eye of the camera has fun gliding over plains and valleys of jiggling bodies as the performers moan and pant and squeal their way through the experience.
Look, this year has been very difficult for me, both personally and professionally. I have watched so many films for this blog only to reject them for one reason or another. One that I did watch, which I won’t name, I didn’t review because it felt way too performative. It was meant as an intimate experience between two lovers but they were awkwardly reenacting things they most likely saw in porno and it felt icky to review it because of the disconnect between what it was intended to be and what it presented to viewers.
The reason I bring this up is because The Porn Conversation doesn’t feel performative. It’s just a bunch of performers having a good time after a three minute conversation about turn ons and limits.
So, there’s not much more to say. It’s a solid product. My one criticism is that I wish there was no music. The song playing over all this has lyrics and loops at least three times. It’s distracting. If they absolutely had to have music I wish it was instrumental only. Better yet, just forgo music all together because the performers are making such exquisite sounds all on their own.
Though I may be stretching the definition of the word Documentary with this one, it’s a sweet, soft, authentic little watch, both gentle and exciting and everyone ends up satisfied, listened to and heard.
Best Moment: There was a moment of squirt but also the squirter was wearing a harness so that was fun.
